Earrings in Wildwood!

I didn't wake up today until 12:30 pm. I need to go to bed earlier! I had a peanut butter and fluff sandwich, chips, and cookies. I read my book  for a long time. Then I organized some things in my room and watched Teen Mom.

Today I had a letter from Lindsay in my mail box, and the new flappers book! I wrote back to Lindsay and wrote a postcard to my grandma.

Mom and dad went out and when they came home we sat on the porch. Our neighbor, Mr. Mockus, came over and showed us some artifacts the Abramis gave him.

Mom and dad took me to the CVS before they went to the West End Garage to pick up a cat statue, and I printed some pictures and got M&M's. We stopped at Bliss, and Nicole was there with her kids. I had a vegan chocolate mint with blackberry sorbet ice cream. I tried their mystery flavor (if you get it in 3 guesses, you get the ice cream for free) and could not figure it out!

We came home and had BLT's for dinner. Harry (our neighbor from a few blocks away) came by and showed us some cat pictures and helped us brainstorm names for our beach house.

After dinner we left for Wildwood. We drove through and saw neon lights. We went to the rides for a while. I stopped at a jewelry store and found Bunny Beijo Brasil earrings for $13.99 - total bargain b/c at Terry Ivory they are $17.99.

These are perfect since we see so many beach bunnies in Cape May!

We got Mack's pizza, ate some there and took a pie home for lunch tomorrow. Drove out through Wildwood Neon. Tomorrow hopefully it won't rain so I can go to the beach!

Green Beach Glass, Farmers Market and the Ride From Hell

Last night when mom and dad came home, mom sent me a text to come down and that it would be worth it. I was anticipating Malia to be in the kitchen (because she surprised me with that trick a few months ago) but it was the crow watch necklace from Across the Way!

I didn't fall asleep until three am, so I slept into noon. Mom woke me up because her friend Lori was here and we were having lunch. Lori brought blintzes, Philly pretzels and zuchini cake. Yum! After lunch we went to the beach.

From 2-3:30 pm we enjoyed the warm waves, but it was hot. I mooched off the shade from someone's umbrella. We saw lots of dolphins, a few banner planes, a huge boat with a billboard TV on it (really?!) and I even found a piece of green beach glass. I came home and showered. Yay, outside shower!

When mom, dad and Lori got back, we left to drive to the farmer's market. We had Bliss, Empanada Mama's and got lots of fresh veggies. We saw our friends Tina, and Mike, Nicole and their kids. When we came home, I thought it would be a great idea to ride my bike to the mall. Big mistake, because the tires were flat and I got hot and out of breath from pedaling so hard to compensate for the flat tires.

I went to Whale's Tale and got blue shell earrings with my Cape May neighbor's grad money! I got a loose bead shell necklace and hair clip from Making Waves. I also got a Bungalow 360 seal wallet. I was too hot so dad picked me up. My face was so red.

We had spaghetti and veggies for dinner. Tomorrow we will go to George's for breakfast, and the beach and I hope to bake cookies and visit my neighbors.

Monday Fixings

I woke up this morning at 8 am. It felt warm in the house so I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer in bed. Went down at 8:30 am. I watched tv while I had a waffle. Watched TV an had lunch. At 1:30 pm, I went with mom to the Subaru dealer in Cape May Court House.

We took the courtesy shuttle to Stone Harbor. We went to Terry Ivory and looked around for a while. I got a chart necklace with a sailboat charm and it says "you keep me on course." I also got Beijo Brasil jellyfish earrings., Then we went to the surf shop and I got Bethany Hamilton Perfume. I had it when I was like 8 or 9 so it was really cool to have it again!!

We took the shuttle back to the dealer and they had to order a part and we have to come back. We went to the Lobster House and got shrimp, crab fingers, scallops, manhattan chowder, deviled clams and onion bread. We came home and changed to go to the beach.

Mom drove all the kids down to the beach and we went on a walk, took pictures and then came home and showered. I gave Michael a haircut. He said I cut it too short. But it looks better than his usual hair cut.

We headed to the boardwalk. Michael, James and I had our first funnel cake. It was from the surfside and very delicious. I saw Convention Hall. It looked quite out of place. I checked out Morrow's and then came home. Tomorrow mom and Dad's friend Lori is coming. We will also go to the Farmer's Market and get Bliss!

Humid afternoon & Acme

It was hard to fall asleep last night because it was warm in the house. I got up at 11:30 am because it was warm in the house. I had a breakfast bagel from Avalon that mom and dad had brought back., Then I went to the Acme with mom and got all the shopping done quickly (two hours).  We came home and had lunch.

I relaxed upstairs and watched Psych on Hulu. Mom was reading the July Cape May magazine and it had a Facebook comment of hers in it! For dinner we had gnocchi and ravioli. It was really good.

Then mom, Michael, James and I went to the mall. It was very humid. The sky was flickering with lightning but no rain. We first went to splash. i got a mermaid's tail necklace. At Henry's mom and I both got a little Pandora/Chamilia style charms that say Cape May, have a wave, lighthouse and exit zero.We also got round Cape May charms. Mine has a flip flop and mom's has a shell. We got dad a Hello Kitty statue.

Cape May charm and bead
We came home, had fudge & key lime pie. I have some ideas for my cat blog I will work on tomorrow morning.
Mermaid tale necklace from Splash

Free keychain from Henry's celebrating 40th anniversary

My desk chair broke tonight when I leaned back. Oops! I can't wait to go to the beach tomorrow and see Convention Hall as well as check out the board walk shops.

Hot weather & Poppin' Tires

It feels so good to finally be in Cape May again! I woke up at 6 am and remembered I forgot to print my Cape May address labels. So I printed them, went back to bed and finally got up at 7 am, ate breakfast and went out to do my pet sitting jobs.

Rachel, James and Michael ready to go to the beach!
We packed the car and showered at left at 11:38 pm and barely 30 minutes into the trip, on 95 something outside of the car popped and went flying backwards. Dad immediately pulled off onto the shoulder to see what happened. We didn't know if we had gotten a flat tire, lost the roof rack or something else. It turns out it was something on the front tire. Mom's car had been making weird sounds Tuesday night and it went in on Thursday to the Shell to be checked. Nothing was wrong...until today. We thought about turning around to go home or stopping at a close Jiffy Lube, because dad said something felt wrong with the brakes (meanwhile it's over 100 degrees outside).

Mom and dad checked the car again and decided it was ok and we would get it checked out at the Subaru dealer in Cape May Court House.
118 Degrees? SCARY!

We made it to Holly's Restaurant and boy was it crowded! It took a while, but we got fresh fried chicken. Yummy! We stopped at the Denton antique store, but it had no a/c so we didn't stay long. No one got anything.

Ferry sign!

We made it to the ferry at 4:38 pm, perfect timing for our 5:15 ferry. The ride was fairly smooth, just hot and humid - so we sat inside - and we saw lots of dolphins!

We got home at 7:02 pm and unpacked. I went to the mall. I picked up and adorable pair of strawberry earrings at Henry's and some cute saying pins at Across the Way. I looked in lots of shops. Can't wait to shop some more.

My purchaes

I was so hot when I got home. I had a slice of white pizza from Louie's as well as a piece of cheesesteak and onion rings. James and Michael were at the arcade. After dinner we unpacked and got ready for bed. We have a long day ahead tomorrow. Acme, and mom and I are going to the trunk show at Splash!

Anticipation's the game

It's been a year since I posted on this blog. Usually I'm posting 50 some days before Cape May, but alas, having more than one blog - and  school which takes up so much time, takes away from blogging! My other blog, Sandpiper Cat Blog is my main blog, and it takes up all of my time (when I'm not being a teenager - aka sleeping & watching obscene amounts of tv).

But enough about me, more about the  1 DAY  (left) TIL CAPE MAY 2012! And it's not just any other vacation, not just any other year. Because the house we rent? Yeah...we're buying it! I can't believe we are FINALLY going to be locals. It's surreal. And that's probably just because we haven't officially taken ownership. In less than a month's time, we will take ownership of the house.

Until then, we will just enjoy our vacation in an "owner of a CM beach house" mindset. I don't think that has changed any of my to do plans this summer.

Probably the difference between last vacation and this vacation is that a) Malia is not coming because she is in California/Hawaii with her family, so my other bff Lindsay will take her place and come for a few days and b) Michael is bringing his friend James.

I have SO much packed. But I never know how much I will really need. I can't wait to be able to leave our stuff there, and have to pack way less.

Until the day I'm in Cape May...

A toasty 116 Degrees Fahrenheit

Woke up at 10:2- am, my ankle was still bothering me. Watched the rest of My Life in Ruins and went downstairs. WAY too hot for the porch today. Ate breakfast and then looked at the fragile antiques that mom and dad bought the previous day. Did a little scrapbooking and then came upstairs and packed a little bit.

Had a slaw dog from Hot Dog Tommy's. Best hot dog I have ever had in my life. And a frozen root beer. I came upstairs and watched 2 episodes of That '70's Show. It was 82 degrees F upstairs. The a/c isn't cool enough since it's over 100 outside. Went back downstairs and read until it was time for dinner. Dad and I got food from Big Wave Burrito. My burrito was too spicy.

Drove to the mall again. Mom and I went into A pLace on Earth. Got summer fling body scrub (new scent!!!) and a bar of sun ripened rasberry soap. Got a chamilia Cape May charm at Winterwood. Went to Bathtime and got a little anana (not banana) soap. Went to TIna's photography shop. Chatted with her. Then got ice cream from bliss. A ice cream sandwich with blackberry sorbet and chocolate. Came home and packed and showered. Can't believe we're going home tomorrow. Miss the kitties so much though. :(

Bored to death

Mom finally woke me up at 11 am. I didnj't get up for a while, when I did I carried what I needed for the day downstairs. Everyone helped me get what I needed, then they left to go antiquing. I finished watching the last season of Ugly Betty and then ate half a ham sandwich for lunch. I was really bored. Watched the Bounty Hunter. Sat on the porch for a while and read. Came in and checked my computer.

Mom and dad and Mike finally got home. Gabbed for a while and then went upstairs. I packed my fragile items and clothes while watching an old Secret Life of the American Teenager on tv. Came down and sat outside. I texted with Malia and she said it was 110 degrees F in VA. Had scallops, crab fingers and lobster macaroni on the porch. Got ready to go to the mall again and we drove there. Mom and I went into Across the Way. She bought me 5 pins and I got a blue bottle for beach glass. At Bathtime I got white tea shave gel, peach perfume, 3 mini soaps, a beach glass image soap and a pillow liner.

We ran into Tina at the mall. Went (drove) to the boardwalk and mom got me a funnel cake. Came home, ate it and showered. Watching That '70's Show on my tv. Love it! Can't believe we'r4e leaving so soon and that I was only able to go to the beach 4 times and that I can't go again because of my stupid ankle.

X-Rays, and casts and crutches, oh my!

Woke up a little before 9 am, my ankle was hurting. Came down and sat on the porch and ate breakfast. Dad and I left for the Cape Urgent care. Got there and checked in by 9:55 am. It was really crowded and busy. They didn't accept our insurance so we have to pay and submit a claim. We waited until about 10:40am ish. Got called back into a room. Had my blood pressure, temperature and x-rays taken. Waited for a long time until the Physician's assistant came in and said it wasn't broken! She told me to stay off my ankle, ice it. She gave me crutches and an air cast splint.

Came home to letters from Grandma Zelda and Grandma Genie, and a postcard and a letter from Lindsay. Came in, had lunch and watched Ugly Betty and wrote back. Watched about 5 episodes. Then watched a 16 & Pregnant where are they now and had some macaroni. After mom and dad came home and ate dinner, we got ready to go tot he mall. We left around 9 pm and parked at the part right in front of TIna's photo shop. We talked to her for a while and I got 1 big photo of beach tags and 2 small photos of a snowy house and a hydragea plant in front of COngress Hall. Got ice cream from Bliss and talked with the owners for a while. Came home and get ready for bed.

Tuesday morning rain is falling (not really)

Woke up this mornign around 10:40 am and my ankle was really hurting me from tripping at Harpoon Henry's. We left to eat at George's. Dad drove us there and we parked really close, because my ankle was really painful to walk on. dad had blueberry pankcakes, Mike had choc. pancakes, mom had a taylor pork roll sandwich and  I had banana french toast. We had scrapple and sausage on the side (scrapple is a flat patty sausage - a NJ delicacy).

While dad paid for lunch, we went into Across the Way in the mall. Mom and I both got Cape May heart map necklaces that were so cute. We came home and put the leftovers away. MOm, dad and Mike left to go antiquing. I stayed home to scrapbook and ice/elevate my leg. I watched Ugly Betty and Teen Wolf while scrapbooking. I moved to the chair after dinner and watched 16 and pregnant adoption special. Then I watched Pretty Little Liars, showered and watched the new Teen Mom in bed.

we decided tomorrow I needed to go to the Urgent care in Cape May to have xrays of my ankle to make sure that nothing is wrong with it. I broke the same ankle back in 2006 and I don't think it was ever as strong since then. fingers crossed!

Hot today, 90 degrees!

Woke up late this morning, around 10:30 am even though my alarm clock was set for earlier. Malia came in my room and got me up since we had to take her to the ferry. Got up, ate and got dressed. The Kheivs decided to take the 1 pm ferry so they could go to the outlets. SO before leaving with Malia, we said Goodbye to the Kheivs. Left around 11:30 to take Malia to her ferry....we were on the late side! The the terminal by 11:40pm. I walked her in, got the ticket and took the elevator to the walkway. Went back to the car. Then we went to our friend Tina's house! We saw her cats... Higby, Sabrina, Moxie, Gracie, Sparky, Bongo, Howard, Arnold, Holly, Bubbles, Bijou, Dipstick and Maui.

After that we went to Harpoon Hnery's. Very underwhelming. Had a fish sandwich that was good. Stepped off a step funny and my ankle was bothering me. Probably nothing though. Went to the Acme to pick a few things up. I printed some pictures to work on my scrapbook later. Had letters from Lindsay and Grandma Zelda waiting for me. Went upstairs to write back. Denise was here on the poch and we talked to her for a while. When she left I got a bike out and left for the mailbox by the postoffice and the mall.

I got my friend Vero 3 smurt pins. Then I got taffy and a little Wooden Cape May sign that says Surf, Fun, something else I forg4et. Came home, will go to the mall again tonight. Went to Pearl Street and only saw Lotta (kitty). There were 2 orange cats on the porch. Came back and ran into another neighbor walking her dogs. Gave her the cookies we baked. her husband came out to say hi as well. Then a lady from the house  nexdt to them came out and we ended up talking to her. she said she misses her dog and cats - all rescues! We came back home for tuna sandwiches on the porch. Then another neighbor from around the corner, her daughter stopped by with her sun and dog. We talked to her for a bit and then gave her the cookies. We finished dinner and went to the arcade instead of the mall. I played mostly skeeball and some slot machines. Got a BFF 2 pieces of a heart necklace to share with Malia. Got postcards from Morrow's and then did the photobooth with Mike and mom. Got fudge and came home.

Wildwood and Stone Harbor

Woke up this morning at 9:50 am. Everyone got dressed, ready and had breakfast. Then Krista took me, Malia, Julia, Mason and Michael into Wildwood around 11 am. We got there and drove all around looking for the boardwalk. The Doo Wop museum was closed . So we parked in a parking lot and we went onto the boardwalk. We looked for the Pork Roll sign place but couldn't find it. We went into a ton of stors. We ate lunch at a place called Hot Spot #4. Everyone had hamburgers except Mike who had a hot dog and me who had a pork roll. Went into a "boardwalk mall". I got a zebra watch, a cat's meow of the Wildwood sign (Mike got one of the tram car), and 9 cat postcards.

Then we decided to head into Stone Harbor, the next town over. We drove around for a while and couldn't find the boardwalk. Mom told us the address for Terry Ivory ( a jewelry store we usually go to in Ocean City, but there was one in SH). So we parked, filled the meter and poked around in the stores. Found Terry Ivory. Mom wanted more of these earrings she had bought and I chose strawberries and coral for her. We also bought 2 charms for her and I got a pair of star fish earrings. Went home after that.

Mom and dad's friend Lori was there with her daughter Jana. Everyone went to the beach. It was windy, cold but I found 2 pieces of white beach glass. Came home, showered and ate dinner. Malia and I headed into the mall for our alst shoppings. I got a headband, pillow liners and soap saver at Bathtime. We went to the boardwalk, took pictures in the photobooth and had funnel cake. I scored a 670 in skeeball! Helped Malia back. Tomorrow her ferry is at noon.

Blissful tastes

Woke up this morning around 10:30 am and went downstairs around 11:15ish. Sat with Malia, Krista and Julia and talked. MOm and dad brought home bagels. Had a 1/2 breakfast 1/2 lunch bagel, our honorary tradition. After everyone showered and got dressed, we headed to the mall via Pearl Street. We only saw Misty. And an orangie cat on the deck. At A Place on Earth mom bought me some cool Cape May soap scrub, soap and sex on the beach soap. We went to Splash and we saw and ear tipped grey feral cat by Pearls. At Splash we left my contact info about getting my red beach glass made into a necklace!

After that we went to Wahle's Tale and I got a mini adironack chair photo frame. Then we went to Tina's photography shop and then got ice cream at Bliss. I had half of a blackberry chocolate custard and half honey fig goat cheese.  Which sounds disgusting but was delicious. Came home and chilled. Then our cousins Carol, Walt and Scott came. We got pizzas from Louie's. We chatted for a long time. They left and we all got ready for bed. Tomorrow is Malia's last full day and I'm bummed!

Baking cookies

Friday July 15, 2011

Woke up around 11:30 am. Got up, went downstairs and had easy mac. Pretty nice out, at least it's not humid. Mom, Malia and I went to Splash. Mom bought me the blue druzy earrings. Went to Patricia jackson's. We brought Great Grandma Regina's ring. They're going to call back with an estimate for a blue topaz stone. Dad picked us up and we went to CVS so I could print pictures. Then we went to Acme to get more food. Came home and had lunch. Then Malia and I spent three hours making two batches of cookies while watching Ugly Betty.

Malia and I left for the beach when we finally finished baking, and we were there for an hour. Came home and showered. Love that outdoor shower! Mom got us sandwiches and fries from Zoe's. Ate dinner and waited for Julia and Krista to arrive. They got her arond 9:30 pm, they took the 7:45 pm ferry. Helped them carry stuff into their room. We left around 10 pm to go check out the mall.

A Place on Earth was closed and I was dissapointed. Went into Henry's and got snail earrings! Then Bathtime, where I got another perfume rollerball in Waterlily scent. Malia got the $31 perfume she had been looking at for days. Then we all went into Whale's Tale and Malia got her beach glass keychain which she had also been looking at for a while. We walked down past Tina's photo shop and then walked back along the boardwalk. I had major hiccups and couldn't get rid of them. Got home, had a snack and everyone did their own bedtime stuff.

How is Cape May almost over? I've only gotten 2 letters so far, both from Lindsay.

She had me at meow!

This morning I woke up at 8:30 am becasue my room was warm. I read my book, "Ten Things We Did (But Probably Shouldn't Have)". And then I watched Ugly Betty and then I read some more. Malia and I had waffles with nutella for breakfast.

We came back upstairs to my room and watched Full House together and I wrote postcards and rewrote my shopping list! After eating macaroni and cheese for lunch, I came upstairs and finished my book, it was SO good! I devoured it. Now Krista can take it home :)

Then Malia and i went to the Post Office and I got more stamps. Found out that postcard postage went up 1 cent to 29 cents, so now all my postcards are probably going to come back here :( I saw some of Harry's cats, including Lotta. Got dressed and went to the beach. It was so incredibly pleasant. Then we came home, showered. The kidlets went to surfshack, so good. Malia and I ran back home and got our sweatshirts. Then we went back to the movie on the beach, "Jaws!" It was really good (I've seen it before). It was cold and windy. So fun, we had a great time. Came home, had a little bit of brownies and took a rinse off shower to get the sand off! Krista and Julia (Mason's mom and sister) come tomorrow night! Can't wait.

Teen Mom!

Today mom and dad met our cousins Barbara and Murry at George's and left around 10:40 am. She came in and told me that they were leaving and left me money for lunch. But none of us kidlets including me got up until noon. Mom and dad came back with Barbara and Murray. We talked for a while and then Malia and I left to go get lunch from Zoe's Beachfront Eatery. It was soo hot, we got our cheesteak and left. Came home and ate it. Actually very good!

Malia and I watched last night's Teen Mom together. Then we left to all go into Wildwood and pick out our embroidery. It came out great. We saw two of the dogs that are owned by people who work in the shop. Their names are Brealey and Bowson. We got lots of sweets and ravioli and the Ravioli house. We came home and I watched Teen Wolf and wrote postcards.

Had BLTs w/turkey for dinner. Then Malia and I went to the mall. I got emery boards, a huge jar of soap scrub from A Place on Earth, a Cape May sweatshirt, a mini wheelbarrow to hold jewelry and some PRESENTS :D from different stores for different people. And the new intouch magazine with teen mom on the cover, for Malia and I to read at the beach.

Slapstick wake up

Tuesday July 12, 2011: Malia slammed a pillow into my face multiple times to get me up this morning around 10:30 am. Got up, got dressed and ready to go to Wildwood. Dad got a call that the embroidery wasn't ready, so we didn't go. Malia and I ate lunch, did mani-pedis by ourselves and then watched the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Then we spent three hours baking cookies, because there was only 1 rack in the oven so we could only bake one tray of cookies at a time.  Baked them at 325 degrees for a little over 12 minutes. After baking we chilled, had a snack and left for Ocean City at 6pm. Dad dropped Malia and I off by Terry Ivory (usually a really great jewelry store) but it was really dissapointing. I didn't get anything! We shopped in the junk shops and I got one of those hair/feather extentions that clips in. I was so freaked and  happy about that :)

Then we had a slice of pizza pie at Mack and Manco's. Then we went on the beach to take pictures and the ocean was ice cold. We had Kohr Bros. ice cream. We looked in Terry Ivory again with mom and my cousin Jenn. She got a necklace and earrings. The boys did go karts, then we came home. Showered and had a 1 am cookie snack!

Woke up in the mornin' and was in Cape May!

7/10 Sunday: Woke up this morning around 10:45 am. Had a text from Malia that she might catch the 12:45 pm ferry instead of the 2:45 pm. I went downstairs and had half of an Avalon bagel. I came back upstairs and watched the last half hour of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on ABC family. Then I left and went to the Surf Shack. I had a really good pork roll sandwich. Mike and Mason met me and we shared fries. I poked in Morrow's Nut House. At Down by the Sea I got a Sea Mist bookmark. Came home and read more of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Mom and dad picked up Malia and came home. I helped settle her in. Then she and I left for the beach! It was crowded. Came home and showered, almost couldn't open the outdoor shower door! Got dressed. We had crab fingers, sushi and scallops for dinner. Malia and I went to the mall. I got a soda tab wristlet, earrings, a seahorse pendant, a jar from bathtime, footspray and little soap. We got a funnel cake from the surf shack and then played a few rounds of skeeball, came home and went to bed. Not sure what we're doing tomorrow, maybe cookie baking!

The Chronicles of Cape May

If we ever get out when we say we will, it will be if we can step through a closet door to Cape May, just like Narnia (we saw a door on the side of the road and I mentioned that "maybe it was the door to CM"). The car and roof rack were packed very full this year. Krista and Julia came to say goodbye as we (including Mike's friend Mason - Krista's son, Julia's brother) left at 12:47pm for Cape May! There actually was room to comfortably fit all 3 of us kids in the backseat. Stopped at the Barnes and Noble in Bowie, MD to pee before the Bay Bridge. I got another copy of Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson, in paperback for dad to read - Malia will def have to read it while we're at the beach, it's the best book!

About 20-30 minutes appx of Bay Bridge back up. Once we got over we had yummy fried chicken at Holly's. We only ordered the two piece meal because no room in the car for leftovers! We stopped at a Maryland Antique store. Mom and Dad got three coffee cups and I got a cute cat figurine that looks like Piper. It was 75% off of $5 so it was $1.25, a true bargain!

We missed our 5:15pm ferry reservation by 20ish minutes. Hung in the ferry terminal and then took the 6:15pm ferry. We were the second car on. I bought two postcards, read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and then watched dolphins in the bay. We got home, brought in all the stuff from the car. I went off to the mall. I got my favorite body scrub (sex on the beach scent), four pins from Across the Way, conditioner from Bath Time (Honeysuckle scent) and an on sale octopus necklace from Henry's. Picked up fudge and came home. I had cheesetake from Louie's that mom and dad brought home. Mom and dad went to Wawa for water and I unpacked and set up my room while watching the end of HP & the Goblet of Fire on ABC family on tv. The kids all showered and relaxed before bed.

Malia comes tomorrow!

I'm back & 2 weeks away from CM!

Hello Readers! I'm finally back! After bringing up the blog after months of not writing, I'm finally able to post about my upcoming Cape May trip. I leave 2 weeks from today, the morning of July 9.  Our trip is going to be much different this year, as so many things have changed in my favorite little town.

This year Mike's friend Mason is coming along with us. We are bringing him up in the car with us, which will be interesting considering how much we pack. I hope he'll fit! His mom and sister are coming up after we've been there for a week and will stay with us for the weekend.

Malia is also coming this year, she is coming up  on July 10 which is the day after we leave. SO it will be nice to have her in the house right away. We are excited for our annual trip together!

My goals for this Cape May 2011 trip include:
-The Ghost tour (which we never have time to do)
-"Jaws" on the beach (movie on the beach which we never do)
-Visit the store Whiskers which is in a new location
-Eat at Harpoon Henry's for the first time (see post below)
-Eat at The Beach House (which used to be Henry's on the Beach, until it closed - but the brother restaraunt Harpoon Henry's is open still)
-Eat at Y.B. Eat Place (run by the poeple who own George's which is delicious)
-Buy a bath bomb at A Place on Earth and use that in the tub
-See Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on/around/after 7/15/11. I started the last HP book there, and it only seems right to end the movie there!

So 14 days away from my favorite time of the year. Stay tuned for more posts.
